The Company collects personal information from Members who register on the site. The Company collects personal information to administer the holiday home exchange business. The Company’s objective is to provide Members with a high quality, reliable, user friendly, secure, efficient and personalised service. The Company will not sell or rent any personal information about you to any third party.
Under normal circumstances the Company does not share the identity, address or email address or other contact details of one Member with other Members but facilitates communications between Members through a messaging system on the site. Members may communicate their contact details to other Members for the purposes of arranging holiday home exchanges through the Company.
Circumstances may arise through the course of a holiday home exchange in which one party to the exchange may have an urgent need to contact their exchange partner. In those circumstances, the Company may, at our sole and absolute discretion, provide a Member’s contact information to the other Member.
If you choose not to provide the Company with personal information then the Company may be unable to provide you with its services.
Personal information may also be collected as users interact with the site through cookies (text stored on a user’s computer by a web browser).
You consent to the Company using your personal information for the purposes of:
- providing you with its holiday home exchange services
- responding to requests for information from you
- marketing and advertising its services
- providing you with information the Company considers may be of interest to you
If you do not wish to receive marketing communications from the Company you may opt out by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
- the arrangement of holiday home exchanges through the Company
- any other purpose to which the other Member expressly agreed after complete disclosure of the purpose
In all cases you consent to give Members the opportunity to remove their personal information from your databases and records.
Management of Personal Information
After registration Members can review and edit their information such as billing address, email address and password through the site. Members can request to hide their listing and profile from the site as they require by contacting email@example.com.
If a Member terminates their Membership we will remove their listings from the site as soon as reasonably possible.
On request by you we will provide you with access to your personal information held by the Company except where access may be denied under applicable privacy legislation. To request access to your personal information, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will aim to respond to your request within 14 days of the receipt of the request.
The Company may require certain information, including but not limited to; your name, address and credit card billing information to bill you for use of the Company’s services.
By making a purchase, or engaging in any other kind of activity or transaction that uses financial information on the site, you consent to our providing your financial information to the Company’s service providers and to such third parties as the Company determines necessary to process your transactions, as well as to your credit card issuer for their purposes. These third parties may include the credit card companies and banking institutions used to process and support your transaction.
By purchasing, or registering for, or making reservations for products or services of third parties or by participating in transactions offered on the site offered and or administered by third parties which require you to submit financial information you also consent to the Company providing your financial information to those third parties. The Company uses industry standard practices to enforce data security. Members personal information will be stored securely and processed on servers in the United Kingdom. You acknowledge that data transmission over the internet is never completely secure. Consequently the Company does not warrant the security of information you transmit to the Company through the site. Once the Company receives your transmission, we will take all reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, misuse or loss which may include but is not limited to the following: firewalls, secure network links, password protection and anti-virus protection.
